Frequently Asked Questions
How long is my bathroom remodel going to take?
This depends on a number of variables. There are endless configurations of bathroom designs and every home is different. It depends on the scope of the work needed and how long each type of the different services takes. For example if you need plumbing moved, or if you need walls torn down, that is going to add a specific amount of time to the project. The most accurate time frame can be determined by booking a free consultation with us to come out to your home, survey the space and talk about your design plans. However, below you will find some of HD Bath Solutions’ average time frames for specific services. Keep in mind these are to give you a general idea and are always subject to change based on the complexity of the project, services needed and material availability.
-
A retro fit is updating your current bathroom by taking the older things out and building over the existing bathroom. These types of renovations take anywhere from 4 to 8 days to complete.
-
If you’re looking to update solely a bathtub or shower, this type of renovation takes anywhere from 8-10 days on average. Of course it depends on a variety of factors. For example, the process time will differ if you are looking for a tiled shower versus an acrylic shower.
-
This type of renovation is updating everything (and the bathroom sink!). This would be for someone who wants updating flooring, tile work, add backlit mirrors, accent walls, countertops, changing the floor plan, adding lighting etc. This process will take about two weeks to complete depending on the amount of work involved and given there are no unforeseen issues uncovered.
What does the bathroom remodel process look like?
-
HD Bath Solutions offers a free in-home consultation on the time and date that is convenient for you. These typically last about 1.5-2 hours. During the consultation, one of our professional remodelers will meet you at your home, take the specifications of the space and sit down to talk with you about your design plans, time frame and budget for the project. When all the details of the project are finalized, an estimate will be drawn up and sent to you via email. Upon an agreement of the estimate, a finalized contract will be sent over to be signed within 24-48 hours.
There are multiple ways to schedule a consultation. You can do it on this website under the “Schedule a Consultation” tab above, call us at 901.361.3241, or you can email us at HDBathSolutions@gmail.com.
-
After the initial estimate is agreed upon, you will receive a contract within 24-48 hours containing a detailed overview of services and materials provided, and payment scheduling dates. The deposit is 35% of the total project amount and is nonrefundable. The contract will be signed by both the customer and the professional from HD Bath Solutions, and the deposit will be due upon receipt to confirm and schedule the start date of the project.

We get to work on the designated start date and you have the bathroom of your dreams in no time!
How much is my bathroom remodel going to cost?
Cost can only be determined by factoring in the materials used and the scope, or complexity, of the project. All the services provided and materials have to be accounted for in the estimate, so the cost is tailored to your specific wants and needs. In your consultation an HD Bath Solutions professional will help guide you through our process making the most of your budget, while maintaining the functionality and design you have in mind.
What things should I take into consideration before remodeling?
Not only does remodeling provide you with the space that you want exactly how you want it, remodeling also provides a significant ROI (Return of Investment) on your home if you decide to sell it later down the road. Remodeling increases the value of your home. In 2021, the average ROI was around 60%!
There are quite a few things to consider before deciding to renovate or remodel a bathroom. First and foremost, your budget needs to be taken into consideration. Here at HD Bath Solutions we want our customers to have everything they want without breaking the bank. Our team will provide the best options to work within your budget to try to check all of the things off your list. We also recommend leaving some room in your budget for unforeseen issues. You never know what may be uncovered behind your walls, and you do not want to be unprepared.
The second consideration is time frames. There are many variables that can draw out the process: delivery time frames, weather conditions, sickness, uncovering an issue that has to be fixed, change orders, custom pieces ordered from vendors, material availability, scheduling conflicts, etc. We will work tirelessly to resolve any issues as fast as possible, offer the best solutions and our team will be fully transparent through the process to guide you through any issues that arise to get the job done the right way.
Another thing to consider would be configuration. Our knowledgeable team of experts can help you at your free consultation to figure out the best way to maximize space to provide a more open, functional and accessible space. We also offer 3-D renderings of the space so that you can physically see what your design would look like in your space!
Color schemes, style and design are also things to keep in mind. This is the fun part! You would need to research some of your preference items for the bathroom which include things like plumbing trim, lighting fixtures, backlit mirrors, faucets, wall mount toilets, free standing bath tubs, countertops and vanities, flooring and tile, grout, towel bars, floating shelves and cabinets, and other optional accessories like bluetooth exhaust fans, televisions, waterfalls, and fireplaces. If you can think it, HD Bath Solutions can make it happen. We recommend taking a day to go check out local places like Ferguson’s and Floor and Decor to browse some of the things they offer here in Memphis!
“Let me start by saying I have worked in multiple different areas of construction over the last twenty years, from remodeling and renovation projects to flooring to framing homes. When I started working as a project manager overseeing fifteen to twenty sub contractors that is when I realized that I cared more about the end result of a project more than the company that I worked for which led me to start my own business. I value the quality of my work over the quantity of my customers. One of the best feelings is seeing my customers faces when they see the transformation of something I built with my own hands. Also, bathroom remodeling allows me the creative aspect that you just do not get with other fields of construction. A bathroom should be a place for people to unwind and relax after all the stress that life throws at us and it brings me such a sense of accomplishment to be able to give people a space like that in their home.”

What makes you different?
As soon as the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, your scheduled remodel goes onto the calendar. The estimated completion time for your project and other projects on the calendar determines how far out your project will need to be scheduled. We want to make sure we have ample time dedicated to your specific project as HD Bath Solutions values people over profits.
Other things we consider with scheduling are the materials needed for the project, the availability of those materials and special and custom order delivery time frames as we want to ensure that all of the materials are on hand when we start the project to stay within our estimated completion times, and not leave you with an unfinished bathroom.
